Tri Delta was founded by women, for women, in 1888 at Boston University when our Founders bravely created a new organization that would “think more of a woman’s inner character than her outward appearance.” Their vision has grown into the dynamic women’s organization we know today.

Today, Tri Delta is a network of nearly 250,000 women, and we are committed to lifelong learning through educational initiatives, transformational programming and relevant personal and professional development.

Among our most notable accomplishments, Alpha Eta was honored to receive the Excellence in Membership Experience Award and the prestigious 2024 Margaret Paddock Heller Award—a testament to our chapter’s commitment to Tri Delta’s purpose, values, and ritual. In addition, Alpha Eta proudly earned both the Commitment to Community Service and Distinction of Operational Excellence awards at the 2025 Pursuit of Excellence Awards, hosted by Florida State University’s Fraternity and Sorority Life. The Alpha Eta Chapter at Florida State University continues to embody the values of leadership, service, academic excellence, and community engagement.
